This package consists of two equally beautiful decorative pieces, crafted by Indigenous Saskatchewan artists and sourced through the acclaimed Wanuskewin Heritage Park.
The first is a 15" x 15" original artwork by Darren Pratt of George Gordon First Nation. Mounted to a black, glassless wooden shadow box, the focal point of this creation is a deer antler that has been hand-carved into the shape of a bald eagle’s head, with a spearhead inlay. Pratt then used acrylic paint to create a colourful, rich scene of wildlife underneath a starry night sky.
The second item is by Norman Ross Ledoux of Muskeg Lake Cree Nation. The owner of Black Sage Woodworks, Ledoux has fashioned a traditional, 15" drum made from fine buffalo hide and cedar. Ledoux uses as little glue as possible in his instruments to produce the highest quality sound possible. The drum comes complete with a drumstick that has been harvested from chokecherry tree.
