Job Description / Duties

THE ROLE
The Account Executive is primarily responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, delivering exceptional service to existing clients while driving client growth through referrals and prospecting. This role encompasses diverse tasks, from insurance submissions to on site client visits and efficient policy and claims management.
As an Account Executive, you; excel in detail-oriented work, prioritizing new business and client retention. Your ability to build strong relationship, clear communication, adaptability, and client-centric approach are key strengths for ensuring exceptional service and growth.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
• Most importantly, you will lead by example, live our values, and drive business relationships for the company by providing exceptional customer service.
• Actively engaged in supporting the growth of the company through internal team mentorship of associate and account administrators and external client relations.
• Provide exceptional service to the existing book of business while driving client growth through referrals and prospecting activities.
• Determine client’s needs, negotiate coverages and terms and process transactions.
• Follow up and develop new business from existing accounts and assigned leads, contributing to commercial lines production goals.
• Actively seek new business opportunities, by generating new leads and solicit increase in coverage and rounds accounts through sales to clients.
• Conduct marketing and proposal submissions to various insurers for quotation.
• Visit clients' premises as necessary to assess needs.
• Manage requests from underwriters for small business policies, including applications submission.
• Generate quotes for prospective and existing clients.
• Manage renewal process including gathering renewal information, 90-day pre-renewal meetings, prepare summaries of insurance, schedules, certificates, and proposals as needed for account review, and invoicing clients.
• Provide expert coverage advice to clients and conduct marketing research for specialty risks.
• Maintain organized and accurate records of client information and insurance policy details within our database software and relevant systems.
• Provide technical support to advisors, account managers and account administrator assisting in client coverage changes and facilitating communication with underwriters.

Qualifications / Required Skills

WHAT WE REQUIRE:
• Level 2 General Licence or willing to obtain.
• Relevant industry experience required; other insurance related designations and experience may be considered, such as CIP, CRM and CAIB or working towards.
• Strong networking and relationship building skills with key business partners and clients.
• Strong communication skills both verbally and in written correspondence.
• High follow through and strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• A well-defined sense of diplomacy and business acumen with a focus on customer service and overall client experience.
• Skills in analysis, problem solving, critical thinking, decision making, teamwork, communication, innovation, and adaptability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with internal Broker Management Systems (EPIC) considered an asset.
