Job Description / Duties

Johnston Insurance is seeking a dedicated and experienced Personal Lines Insurance Broker to join our growing team. This role focuses on servicing an existing book of business, including homeowners, auto, tenant, and condo policies. The ideal candidate will provide an excellent customer experience for our clients while assessing and evaluate risks, and determine appropriate coverage levels for our clients. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to advance your career and build your own clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

-Assist customers through walk-ins, phone calls, and emails.
-Write new insurance policies from referrals, walk-ins, or internal leads.
-Conduct policy reviews and handle renewals.
-Follow up on correspondence and invoices, and manage binder and policy documents.
-Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications / Required Skills

-Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
-Level 1 license or higher with the Insurance Council of Saskatchewan; Level 2 is an asset.
-Minimum of 2 years of experience in Auto and Personal Lines insurance is an asset.
-Completion of, or working towards, a CAIB designation is an asset.
-Demonstrated consistent accuracy and attention to detail.
-Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
-Positive attitude, proactive approach, and willingness to take initiative.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
-Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
-Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels.
