SUMMARY:2025 IBAS Annual General Meeting
DESCRIPTION:In accordance with IBAS By-law No. 1, the next Annual Gene
 ral Meeting (AGM) of members will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, f
 rom 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Cavalier Hotel (Top of the Inn B
 allroom) in Saskatoon. Attendees are eligible to receive two (2) CE cred
 it hours.\n\nPlease note this is the same day as the 2025 CAIB Graduate
 s Dinner (at the Remai Modern art gallery) and the day prior to the star
 t of the SGI CANADA Brokers Convention.\n\n-- What will be covered? --\n
 \nThe IBAS board and management expects this to be an important meeting 
 for the association and its members. In addition to regular AGM processe
 s, attendees can expect:\n\n* A discussion and report on the progress of
  the IBAS-SGI Transformation Working Group;\n\n* An important update on 
 the future of CAIB and CAIB education in Saskatchewan;\n\n* An interacti
 ve policy-setting session in advance of 2026 motor licence issuing negot
 iations;\n\n* An overview of ongoing advocacy priorities; and\n\n* Key d
 ecisions related to IBAS financials, governance, operations, and more.\n
 \n-- Why is this meeting being held in April? --\n\nAt the 2023 AGM, mem
 bers voted to change the IBAS fiscal year from a July 31 year end to a D
 ecember 31 year end — aligning the fiscal year to the calendar year be
 ginning on January 1, 2025.\n\nTherefore, the IBAS AGM will now be held 
 in the March-April timeframe for the foreseeable future.\n\n-- Who can a
 ttend? --\n\nRegistration at the AGM is intended primarily for voting de
 legates, member principals, senior brokerage leaders, as well as IBAS co
 mmittee members and board directors.\n\nThere is no cost to participate.
  Meeting materials will be distributed electronically to all registered 
 guests.\n\n-- Who can vote at the AGM? --\n\nEach IBAS member brokerage 
 designated a Voting Delegate during the 2025 membership renewal process.
  This individual, however, may be changed at any time by e-mailing commu
 nity@ibas.ca.\n\nVoting Delegates are responsible for representing their
  brokerages in all IBAS voting procedures. Accordingly, only Voting Dele
 gates may cast a vote at the AGM. Please reach out to IBAS if you are un
 sure who represents your brokerage as its Voting Delegate.\n\nPlease not
 e that online registration for the 2025 AGM has now closed. If you have
