SUMMARY:2026 IBAS Annual General Meeting
DESCRIPTION:In accordance with IBAS By-law No. 1, the next Annual Gene
 ral Meeting (AGM) of members will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, 
 from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Cavalier Hotel (Top of the Inn 
 Ballroom) in Saskatoon. Attendees are eligible to receive two (2) CE cre
 dit hours.\n\nPlease note this is the same day as the 2026 CAIB Graduat
 es Dinner (at the Remai Modern art gallery) and the day prior to the sta
 rt of the SGI CANADA Brokers Convention.\n\n-- Who can attend? --\n\nReg
 istration at the AGM is open to employees from all IBAS member brokerage
 s, but is intended primarily for voting delegates, member principals, se
 nior brokerage leaders, as well as IBAS committee members and board dire
 ctors. There is no cost to participate.\n\n-- Who can vote at the AGM? -
 -\n\nEach IBAS member brokerage designates a Voting Delegate during the 
 annual membership renewal process. This individual, however, may be chan
 ged at any time by e-mailing community@ibas.ca.\n\nVoting Delegates are 
 responsible for representing their brokerages in all IBAS voting procedu
 res. Accordingly, only Voting Delegates may cast a vote at the AGM. Plea
 se reach out to IBAS if you are unsure who represents your brokerage as 
 its Voting Delegate.\n\n-- What will be covered? --\n\nThe AGM is an imp
 ortant meeting for the association and its members. Attendees discuss an
 d vote upon:\n\n* IBAS advocacy and policy positions impacting Saskatche
 wan brokerages;\n\n* Key operational priorities;\n\n* Audited financial 
 statements; and\n\n* Appointments to the IBAS board of directors.\n\nMee
 ting materials will be distributed electronically to all registrants.\n\
 n-- NEW: 2026 Broker Service Awards --\n\nBeginning in 2026, the IBAS Br
 oker Service Awards will be presented at the association's AGM.\n\nEstab
 lished in 1997, these commemorative glass awards recognize member broker
 s who have attained a minimum 30 years' experience in the P&C insurance 
 industry. Recipients who are unable to attend the AGM will have their aw
 ards delivered between late spring and early summer.\n\nDue to insuffici
 ent data in both the IBAS and General Insurance Council of Saskatchewan 
 databases, we are asking member principals to identify licensees within 
 your brokerage who meet the above criteria and have not previously been 
 honoured with this award.\n\nPlease send their names and e-mail addresse
 s to community@ibas.ca. We will assume any designated recipient who is r
 egistered through the IBAS website for the AGM is planning to be in atte
