Insurance brokers contribute $5.4 billion to Canada’s GDP

A new report from Deloitte Canada — commissioned by the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada with the support of IBAS — found that insurance brokers across the country contribute $5.4 billion annually to our national economy, and sustain more than 58,000 full-time jobs.

A new report from Deloitte Canada — commissioned by the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada with the support of IBAS — found that insurance brokers across the country contribute $5.4 billion annually to our national economy, and sustain more than 58,000 full-time jobs. The study also illustrates many of the social benefits that brokers bring to their communities. For example, 90 per cent of brokerages surveyed donate financially and 70 per cent of their employees volunteer their time to local charities and social causes. Click here to read more.
