Job Description / Duties

SGI CANADA is currently looking for a permanent, full-time Personal Lines Underwriter. In this role you will evaluate, rate, and process insurance requests for Personal Lines insurance products. You will also maintain relationships with brokers to develop lasting and profitable relationships. We are looking for candidates who are customer-focused and look for ways to improve the customer experience. This position is part of our British Columbia and Business Transfer Unit (Alberta) Underwriting teams, but is based out of our Corporate Head Office in Regina, SK.

Qualifications / Required Skills

For our Personal Lines Underwriter, here are some things we’ll look for:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to provide technical information, advice or guidance to customers.
• Three Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) courses.
• Underwriting Assistant or Personal Lines underwriting experience (Property and/or Auto) or working knowledge is considered an asset.
