Become an IBAS Member

Before applying to become an IBAS member, please review the below requirements for each membership type. For more information, please contact community@ibas.ca. Please note that all fees are subject to GST.

Brokerage Member

• The corporation or partnership transacts P&C insurance in Saskatchewan.
• The corporation or partnership supports the objects of the Association.
• The corporation or partnership has either a physical office in Saskatchewan or employs a resident of Saskatchewan who is licensed to sell P&C insurance in Saskatchewan.
• The corporation or partnership actively sells, or is reasonably established to sell, P&C insurance products from more than one (1) insurance company.
• The application for membership has been approved by the IBAS board of directors at its discretion.

The base Brokerage Member fee is $625 per year, plus $250 per licensee for 1 – 10 licensees and $150 per licensed broker exceeding 10.

Monthly payment plans are available, subject to a 10% service fee.

Corporate Affiliate

• The corporation or partnership transacts P&C insurance in Saskatchewan but does not have a physical office or duly licensed employee residing in Saskatchewan or maintains a physical office in Saskatchewan for the primary purpose of transacting types of insurance other than P&C insurance.
• The corporation or partnership supports the objects of the Association.
• The application for membership has been approved by the IBAS board of directors at its discretion.

The base Corporate Affiliate Member fee is $625 per year.

Individual Affiliate

• Is not employed with a Brokerage Member.
• Supports the objectives of the Association.
• Has successfully completed the Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) program.

The base Corporate Affiliate Member fee is $625 per year.
