2024 IBAS Annual General Meeting (Virtual)

In accordance with IBAS By-law No. 1, the next Annual General Meeting ("AGM") of members will be held virtually via Zoom videoconference, from 1:30 – 3 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29.

At this members-only meeting, brokerage members will elect association directors, appoint representatives to the General Insurance Council of Saskatchewan, approve financials (including membership dues), and make other important decisions regarding IBAS policies and operations.

Participants are eligible to receive 1.5 CE credit hours, and will be automatically entered into the AGM prize draw.

Registration opens on Wednesday, May 22!

Background Information

You may recall that, at the 2023 AGM, members voted to change the IBAS fiscal year. This will be the last fall AGM with a fiscal year-end of July 31. Beginning on January 1, 2025, IBAS will move to operate on the calendar year. Therefore, going forward, the AGM will be held in the March – April timeframe.

An official meeting package will be made available electronically prior to the meeting.

All confirmed registrants will receive the Zoom login details by e-mail roughly one week prior to the meeting.

You will note there are two registration options. Please read the following descriptions carefully and select the appropriate option when signing up.

Voting Delegates

As per IBAS By-law No. 1, each brokerage member is entitled to appoint one individual ("Voting Delegate") to attend the meeting for the purpose of casting a vote on behalf of the entire brokerage. The name of this individual was provided to IBAS with each brokerage's 2024 membership renewal.

This Voting Delegate is the only individual from your brokerage that should register in this category and vote in AGM proceedings.

Non-Voting Member Representatives

All employees of IBAS member brokerages (with the permission of their employer), as well as IBAS Affiliate Members, are eligible to attend the AGM.
