Advisory & Training Services
Through the Indigenous Broker Development Program (the "Program"), IBAS has retained OneHoop Indigenous Advisory Services ("OneHoop") to deliver educational support, best practices guidance, as well as strategic counsel to both IBAS and its members.
Designated offerings, including one-on-one advisory support, are available specifically to Program participants; while other offerings — such as Indigenous engagement workshops — are open to all IBAS members.
OneHoop was founded by Cadmus Delorme, former Chief of Cowessess First Nation, and is led by CEO Thomas Benjoe — recognized by The Globe and Mail as one of the Top 50 Changemakers in Canada.
4 Seasons of Reconciliation
IBAS is proud to announce a new partnership with Reconciliation Education Canada, designed to support IBAS member brokerages and their employees advancing their respective reconciliation journeys.
4 Seasons of Reconciliation is a nationally acclaimed online training program that promotes renewed relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples through transformative learning.
This three-hour, self-paced course provides foundational knowledge about the historical and contemporary relationship between Indigenous Peoples and Canada, as well as the work of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada. Through a series of engaging, multimedia-based modules — including award-winning documentaries, interactive slideshows, and quizzes — learners gain practical insight into ‘reconciliation in action.’
Participants receive a certificate of completion and access to a bonus video library for continued learning and reflection. Property and casualty insurance licensees in Saskatchewan are also eligible to receive one (1) CE credit hour. As an accredited CE provider, IBAS will issue separate proof of course completion to each licensee within 5 – 10 business days, which can be submitted to the General Insurance Council of Saskatchewan.
Exclusive for IBAS Members
Through the Program, and with the support of SGI CANADA, the first 100 member registrants receive course access completely free.
Once the complimentary spots are spoken for, registration is just $79 per learner — 65% off the regular price of $199. These costs, however, are reimbursable for member brokerages approved under the Program.
This collaboration reflects IBAS’s ongoing commitment to fostering inclusion, understanding, and meaningful engagement between Saskatchewan’s broker and Indigenous communities.
