Free Licensing Exams

In June 2023, IBAS announced an exciting new partnership with SGI CANADA whereby IBAS members would have fees waived for four introductory licensing exams:

• General Insurance Council of Saskatchewan Bylaws;
• General Insurance Council of Saskatchewan Auto Bylaws;
• IBAS Auto Part I; and
• IBAS Auto Part II.

The purpose of the three-year pilot program was to reduce cost barriers to onboarding and licensing both new and front-line staff.

As of June 2025, this collaboration has collectively saved IBAS member brokerages a total of $310,432.50.
