CAIB 1 Immersion (e-Delivery via Zoom)

May 15 - 20, 2023

IBAS is proud to offer the e-delivery Immersion course with lead CAIB instructor Todd Hochban of West Coast Training.

Through our partnership with West Coast Training's Todd Hochban, we are able to replicate the same quality of learning and student experience that you would ordinarily receive in the classroom, but using the Zoom videoconferencing platform. Todd will mix his trademark instruction style with breakout assignments and other activities to ensure students are fully prepared to write the CAIB 1 exam.

Registration deadline is 2 p.m. May 8th, 2023

When will this take place?

This virtual intake will run May 15 - 20, 2023. There will be a short orientation at 9 a.m. May 15, followed by classes running Monday May 15 from 9:30 - 4:30 p.m. and Tuesday May 16 - Saturday May 20 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

The exam will need to be administered by a qualified proctor at a date that is convenient for you, or through IBAS at a later time.

Please note that exams must be completed before August 31, 2023. Any exam not completed within that time span will lose the ability to write the exam and will not be eligible for a refund.

What equipment will I need?

Other than the CAIB 1 textbook, which must be purchased separately, all you need to take advantage of this option is a computer with reliable internet access. For individuals who may have slower connection speeds, you may choose to mute your computer speakers and microphone and use telephone-based audio (although you would continue to leverage the visual aspect of the delivery).

A webcam is mandatory to participate in the CAIB Immersion course.

Registered Participant Agreement

By registering for the Online CAIB 1 Immersion Course, you are agreeing to refrain from the following activities:

  • Recording of the course by any means, even for personal use;
  • Displaying or sharing course to unregistered participants; and
  • Sharing course link to unregistered participants.

Government Funding Support

We are very pleased to announce that the Re-Skill Saskatchewan Training Subsidy (RSTS) is now available to employers across Saskatchewan. Through this initiative, many of our members may be able to secure 100 per cent reimbursement of eligible costs for all IBAS CAIB 1, CAIB 2, and CAIB 3 Immersion courses.

Your brokerage may very well be eligible for reimbursement funding ranging between two-thirds and five-sixths of eligible costs through the  Canada-Saskatchewan Job Grant (CSJG). IBAS staff have deep experience with this program and are available to advise members through the application process. Contact Jordan Jensen at jordan.jensen@ibas.ca if you have questions.

Where do I go with questions?

Contact IBAS's Manager, Education & Membership, Jordan Jensen at jordan.jensen@ibas.ca or (306) 525-8001.

Thank You

A special thank you to our CAIB programming sponsor.
