Workshop: Introduction to Risk Management for Insurance Brokers

March 30, 2023

Risk management is one of the most coveted skills an insurance broker can develop. Brokers who are proficient at helping clients not only insure against risk but also mitigate it can often add meaningful customer value through better terms, fewer and less expensive claims, improved efficiency, and greater profitability. That translates into happier clients, higher retention rates, and a greater ability to win business.

To begin to hone those skills, IBAS is hosting a full-day Introduction to Risk Management workshop, tailored specifically for insurance brokers. This in-person session will cover:

  • Defining risk management in the context of brokering insurance;
  • The relationship between risk managing and the sale of insurance products;
  • Client satisfaction and retention through risk management advice;
  • Risk and loss exposure identification and mitigation;
  • Alternative techniques; and
  • How to develop a risk management program for insurance clients.
