2024 IBAS Leaders Summit
October 17, 2024
IBAS’s signature fall gathering has a brand-new look and feel, a revitalized program, as well as a sharpened focus — tailored specifically for member principals and senior brokerage leaders!
Join us on Thursday, October 17, at the historic Hotel Saskatchewan in Regina for the can’t-miss insurance event of the year. Delegates will learn from one another’s experiences, network with industry decision-makers, celebrate broker achievements, and have a direct voice in shaping IBAS’s advocacy and operational priorities. All broker members are eligible to receive five CE credit hours.
The registration deadline has been extended to 4 p.m. on Friday, October 4. But don't wait any longer — fewer than 10 seats remain!
Members Can Attend & Stay for Free
Each IBAS member brokerage receives one free registration to the summit. Upon checkout, you simply enter a single-use promotional code that is then be applied against your order total. This gives you the option to sign up multiple individuals on the same order while still taking advantage of this exclusive member benefit. Each member principal has been sent a unique promo code by e-mail. If you have misplaced it, please contact IBAS Manager of Education & Membership Jordan Jensen at jordan.jensen@ibas.ca.
But that's not all! Thanks to a new partnership with SGI CANADA, each IBAS member brokerage is also eligible for a $500 reimbursement voucher, which may be put towards a second registration or to offset travel costs (including mileage from more than 50 km outside Regina and/or hotel stay). Simply complete this short reimbursement form. Payments will be processed November 1 – 15. Contact us if you have questions.

In 2019, Sam Goodwin was wrongfully accused of espionage and taken hostage in Syria while on a journey to travel to every country in the world. Both the U.S. government and intelligence officials doubted whether he’d ever be seen alive again.
Back home, Goodwin’s family built up a network of journalists, hostage negotiators, Middle East experts, diplomats, Vatican envoys, and mercenaries, until eventually — by nothing short of a miracle — they found a secret backdoor into the heart of the Syrian intelligence service itself.
Today, Goodwin is a thought leader on uncertainty and an in-demand public speaker. His incredible journey of survival illustrates the extraordinary power of the human spirit and has inspired audiences around the world. In a genuine, straightforward, and sometimes humorous style, Goodwin draws on his experiences to demonstrate how to turn adversities into assets and reflects on the challenges we all face in a world where borders may divide us, but our shared humanity unites us.
Goodwin earned his bachelor’s degree from Niagara University, as well as his master’s degree from Washington University, and is currently pursuing a doctorate at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. He is also an entrepreneur who co-founded a tech startup business and regional NGO in Singapore.

But there is a catch: You must be present, in the room at the time of the draw, to win — no exceptions!
