Job Description / Duties
We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized and client focused individual to provide comprehensive service and administrative support to our group benefits clients. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, along with the ability to manage a variety of service and administrative responsibilities. In this role, you will support our Group Benefits team by delivering value-added benefits, excellent member experience, and superior service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the Group Benefits team in quoting new business, including participating in needs analysis meetings, compiling, creating, and submitting quote documents, reviewing proposals and marketing reports.
• Support the team in the acquisition of new business, including participating in finalist presentations, onboarding, and implementation meetings.
• Follow up with clients to collect any outstanding information or documentation needed for quoting, and/or onboarding.
• Initiate amendment requests for existing clients by ensuring that information is complete and outstanding requirements are obtained.
• Collaborate with the team, other departments and facilitate information-sharing.
• Act as a brand champion, regularly engaging in opportunities to promote Atlas York Insurance’s product and services – including active participation in the community, and client events, trade shows, conventions, public functions, and special corporate events.
• Build and maintain successful and lasting relationships with existing and potential customers.
• Generate, prepare, and analyze client reports using internal and external reporting tools for client meetings, audits, and forecasting. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of existing client's information, coverage details, amendments, and any specific requirements.
• Assist in the input and maintenance of client data in the company database and broker management system.
• Provide service to existing clients by answering benefit plan inquiries, assisting with claims, billing inquiries, and reporting requests.
• On going service of clients by delivering presentations, training, workshops, and leading communication around product & market updates (in person or virtual).
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and to support and service clients in enhancing overall experience.
Qualifications / Required Skills
• Experience in Group Benefits, Account Management or Service Representative role.
• Thorough knowledge of Group Benefits products and services.
• Holds a Life License or working towards a Life License.
• CAIB (Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker) and/or GBA (Group Benefits Associate) designations will be considered assets.
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products.
• Strong presentation and networking skills to prospect and influence decision makers.
• Ability to think critically, analyze quantitative and qualitative data, and make recommendations and/or provide solutions to Group Benefit Clients.
• Strong customer-facing skills including expectation management, communication skills, information management.
• Works effectively in team settings or independently. Demonstrates self-starting and motivational qualities.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a personal automobile as the candidate will be expected to travel.
