We are a fast-paced insurance company seeking a motivated & detail orientated individual to join our team as a full-time Insurance Broker in our Yellowknife, NT or Wilcox, SK location. Your primary focus will be to provide the highest quality of timely service, while developing and maintaining a personal lines book of business. You will carry out the following duties including but not limited to;
• Liaising with clients on a regular basis, responding to inquiries and requests in a professional manner
• Processing new business and actively engage prospective clients
• Analyze client specific risk exposure and make appropriate coverage recommendations
• Negotiate rates and terms with insurance markets
• Prepare renewals, re-market applications and endorsements
• Data entry to broker management software program
• Various administrative procedures

Qualifications / Required Skills

• Level 1 General Insurance License
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the insurance industry
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with broker management and Applied rating software considered an asset
• Travel between our NWT and SK locations may be required
