IBAS is entering into a one-year pilot project with Saskatchewan Polytechnic to enhance educational opportunities and employment pathways for students interested in pursuing insurance careers.

Through this partnership, IBAS will fully fund CAIB Module I Immersion course fees, exam fees, and textbook expenses for students enrolled in the second-year insurance specialization portion of the Saskatchewan Polytechnic business diploma program. The initiative aims to reduce barriers for students looking to enter the insurance workforce, while increasing their employability with IBAS member brokerages.

IBAS is also committing to support co-op placements within Saskatchewan insurance brokerages and provide industry guest speakers throughout the school year.

Additionally, for students pursuing co-op employment within brokerages, IBAS will offer to reimburse the cost of Restricted Auto Part I and II exams, as well as the General Insurance Council of Saskatchewan Bylaws exam (auto or general bylaws), to provide a complete, no-cost avenue to Level I licensing.
